Box Score UTPB women's soccer started off its 2014 Heartland Conference slate Monday afternoon with a 2-0 defeat on the road to Lubbock Christian at the LCU Soccer Field in Lubbock, Texas.

Lubbock Christian grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the game's second minute when  Jamie Boone scored her sixth goal of the season from the top of the box at 1:41 of the first half.

Claudia Sanchez added her sixth of the season for the Lady Chaps at 71:33 on an assist from Audra Park and Brooke Wendl to give LCU a late two-goal advantage.

Ebony Campbell stopped 13 of 15 shots on net by Lubbock Christian, and Ashley Redwine and Mallory Martin both recorded a pair of shots for the Falcons.

UTPB returns to action Saturday night, traveling to San Antonio for a 5 p.m. contest at St. Mary's.
