Box Score UTPB women's soccer suffered a 2-0 home loss Saturday afternoon in Heartland Conference action against Newman at the UTPB Soccer Field.

The Jets got the first goal of the game in the 36th minute on a UTPB own goal that was knocked in off a ball played from the right side of the box to the left post.

Courtney Galliher scored the team's second goal of the night shortly before halftime, knocking in her first of the season at 44:40 on a through ball down the middle of the field from Daniel Nieto and Jasmine Woodruff.

Newman held an 18-8 shot advantage and had eight shots on net to five for UTPB.

The Falcons had three different players with two shots on the day, and each of Allison Rash, Alexa Branum and Jasmin Lopez put a shot on net.

UTPB is back on its home field Monday afternoon, taking on Rogers State at noon on Oct. 20th.
