The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer was unable to complete the season sweep of Lubbock Christian, falling 4-0 Monday afternoon in the team's second game in a row against LCU.
Emily Odom scored the first goal of the game in the 19th minute, collecting a loose ball off of a throw in from above the 18-yard box and shooting hard to the left side of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
Kristin Fellows took a pass down the right side of the field on a breakaway in the 39th to score and increase the Lady Chaps lead to 2-0.
Odom added a second goal in the 54th minute and Jessica Barrera scored in the 78th to give LCU a 4-0 win.
Brooke Saxton had the Falcons best attempt at scoring in the second half, collecting a pass down the right side and dribbling close to just miss the far post.
UTPB continues Heartland Conference action Saturday night, hosting Texas A&M International at 7:30.
