The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer team closed out the road portion of its 2013 schedule with a 5-0 loss Monday afternoon at McMurry in Abilene, Texas.

The Falcons were unfortunate in the opening minutes and were unable to take the lead when Kourtnye Chandler's attempt on goal at 4:13 hit the post and deflected away from net.

McMurry took advantage of UTPB's misfortune and scored the first of the game two minutes later from 10 yards out by Holiday WIlliams at 16:32.

A Rachel Moore strike at 37:28 sent the War Hawks into intermission leading 2-0.

McMurry add three more scores in the second half, including Moore's second goal of the game.

Chandler led the Falcons with three shots, and both she and Sal Gebre had a shot-on-goal.

The Falcons return home Saturday night, hosting Oklahoma Christian at 7:30 p.m.
