The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer team took McMurry to halftime tied 0-0, but four second half goals helped the hometown War Hawks to a 4-0 win Monday afternoon in Abilene, Texas.

UTPB goalkeeper Victoria Ramirez stepped up in the game's opening 45 minutes, making five saves in net as McMurry held a 10-1 shot advantage in the first half. 

McMurry needed just seven minutes after halftime to take a two goal lead behind goals from Kristen Grant at 49:03 and Savannah Whitaker at 52:14.

Holliday Williams doubled the advantage, scoring at 68:11 and 76:16 for the game's final two scores.

UTPB tallied three shots to McMurry's 19 on the day, with Alyssa Riddle and Kendeal Stark each getting one attempt on net.

UTPB continues road play later this week, traveling to Oklahoma Christian Thursday night at 5 p.m.
