The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer squad dropped a 3-0 contest Saturday afternoon in Heartland Conference action against St. Mary's in San Antonio, Texas.

The Rattlers scored twice in the first half of the opening 45 minutes, taking a 1-0 lead on a goal from Amy Adkins in the 11th minute. They doubled their advantage on Leah Kirch's eighth score of the season in the 24th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

St. Mary's added a third goal in the game's final minutes as Emilie Snelson cleaned up a loose ball in the box in the 87th minute.

Jenna Easley led UTPB with six saves in goal in 67:32 minutes of action. Jessica Saulter recorded two of the Falcons' three shots in the game.

UTPB returns home this coming week, hosting St. Edward's Thursday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
