1/26/2012 4:14:00 PM

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin received an initial donation of $15,000 from CUDD Energy Services which will kick start the Athletic Scholarship Fundraising Campaign.  The goal of the campaign is to generate $340,000 annually which accounts for 20 additional athletic scholarships.

Cudd Energy Services is one of the premier full service well intervention companies in the oilfield industry.  Services include stimulation, hydraulic workover, coiled tubing, well control and live well intervention services.  Their donation is the first of the one-time scholarship donations directed toward the campaign.

Currently, UTPB offers an equivalent of approximately 40 athletic scholarships which are divided amongst 235 athletes.  The full cost of attending UTPB and earning 30 credit hours is about $17,000 which includes tuition, fees, housing, food, books and miscellaneous expenses.
