St. Edward's scored a lone goal in the first half then exploded for three more in the second as the Hilltoppers took a 4-0 win over the Texas-Permian women's soccer team in Heartland Conference action.
St. Edward's took an early lead when Rachel Murray scored from 25 yards out as her shot found the back left corner of the net at the 13:04 mark.  The score would remain that way the rest of the half.  The Hilltoppers padded their lead less than five minutes into the second period when Kelly Servage was awarded a penalty kick and made it count as her shot went past the Falcon goalkeeper to give them a 2-0 advantage.

At the 56:39 mark, SEU made it 3-0 when Janae Averett scored on a nearly identical goal as Murray, as she was in the middle of the field, 20 yards out and hit the top right corner of the net for the point.  Katy Sutton scored the fourth and final goal at the 72:52 point on a cross from Murray on the right side.

The Falcons had five total shots, but were unable to get one on goal, while the Hilltoppers had 24 shots, 12 of which were on goal.  Sarah Collazo, UTPB's third goalie of the day, had three saves, while Victoria Ramirez and Alexis Frueh had two each.

The Falcons will be back in action when they hit the road on Tuesday to take on Dallas Baptist in Dallas before returning home to host St. Mary's at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
