Sade Humphrey scored back-to-back goals in the first 7:26 of the match to lift Newman to a 4-1 win over the University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer team.
The Jets would eventually take a 4-0 lead before Saide Moya broke the scoreless streak for the Falcons with a goal at the 56:47 mark.
Humphrey's first goal came at the 2:47 mark on a put back after a blocked corner kick right in front of the goal. Her second came just under five minutes later at the 7:26 point on a break away. Amanda Knabe made it 3-0 early in the second half with an unassisted goal at the 48:37 point. Celia Myers capped off the Jets scoring at the 56:04 point, giving Newman a 4-0 advantage.
UTPB got eight shots off, three of which were on goal, while Newman controlled the offense with 10 of its 15 shots on goal. Alexis Frueh got her first start in goal and picked up six saves on the day.
The Falcons will host Texas A&M International on Monday at 1 p.m.
