SECOND HALF FLURRY GIVES DALLAS BAPTIST WIN OVER WOMEN’S SOCCER

DALLAS –
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin held tough through the first half playing Dallas Baptist to a 0-0 tie, but the Patriots scored four second-half goals en route to a 4-0 win over the Falcons.
Three of the four goals DBU scored were unassisted, the first coming nearly four minutes into the second half when Chelsea Smith found the back of the net on a deflected cross to the middle.  At the 73 minute mark, Hope Adams scored on a pass from Kelsey Hall to give the Patriots a 2-0 advantage. 
 
Just over six minutes later, Allyson Bales scored on a long shot before Adams knocked in her second goal of the night on a free kick. 
 
Six of UTPB's eight shots were on goal, while the Patriots were able to get off 22 shots, 16 of which were on goal.  Victoria Ramirez had 12 saves on the night.
