Women's Basketball – Guard (2002–2006)

As a member of the inaugural University of Texas Permian Basin women's basketball team, Kim Chaffin helped lay the foundation for one of the university's newest athletic programs. A native of Smyer, Texas, Chaffin became the face of Falcon women's basketball during its formative years, combining elite scoring ability, exceptional playmaking, and outstanding leadership to establish the program's standard of excellence.

A four-year starter and team leader, Chaffin guided the Falcons to the postseason in each of her four seasons while earning numerous conference, regional, and national honors. Her impact extended far beyond the box score, serving as the cornerstone of a program finding its identity and helping build the culture that would shape UTPB women's basketball for years to come.

At the conclusion of her career, Chaffin finished as the program's all-time leading scorer while ranking among the school's career leaders in assists, steals, and games played. Her combination of offensive production, defensive intensity, and leadership made her one of the most accomplished student-athletes in UTPB history.

• Started her collegiate career as the floor general for UTPB's inaugural women's basketball team

• Recorded 159 assists, averaging 5.5 assists per game

2003–04 (Sophomore)

• Averaged 12.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per game
