Graduate Student (2025):
Started in all 50 games (36 at catcher and 14 at designated hitter) and hit .383 in 162 at bats... Also posted 42 runs, 62 hits, 15 doubles, three home runs, 52 RBI’s, 86 total bases, a .531 slugging percentage, 29 walks, seven hit by pitches, a .492 on-base percentage, and was 3-for-4 on stolen base attempts... Set career-highs in runs, hits, doubles, RBI's, walks, hit by pitches, batting average and on-base percentage... Was one of four Falcons to start in all 50 games... Was first on the team in batting average and on-base percentage and was third in slugging percentage among eligible players... Led the team in walks (five more than the next player) and was second on the team in RBI’s; was third in hits, doubles and total bases; and was fourth in runs scored and fifth in home runs... Ranked 16th in the LSC in batting average... Totaled 21 multi-hit games, including seven three-hit contests... Had a pair of four-game multi-hit streaks during the season and at one point, he had at least two hits in seven straight games... Had 15 games with two or more RBI’s and scored at least two runs in a game 10 times... Also had two series this season in which he hit five doubles... Defensively, he had 187 putouts, 30 assists, a .982 fielding percentage (4 errors in 221 chances), and 18 runners caught stealing... Was second on the team in putouts and total chances, and was fourth in assists... Also tied for first in the conference in runners caught stealing... Finished 3-for-4 with four RBI's on a trio of RBI-hits in game three against Texas A&M International (Feb. 8), and then in the series finale against the Dustdevils (Feb. 9), Rigtrup led the Falcons with four runs scored, three RBI's (for the second game in a row) and two walks while adding his first home run of the season (two-run homer) in what was ultimately a 16-12 win... Finished 3-for-4 with three RBI's and a pair of run-scoring doubles, including a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning, in a 14-4 seven-inning win in game three against Eastern New Mexico (Mar. 8). He then he hit 3-for-5 with three more doubles, including two doubles in the second inning, in a 16-8 win in game four against the Greyhounds (Mar. 9)... Combined to hit .417 (5-for-12) with two doubles and a three-run home run and led the team with nine RBI's and four walks in the series at Cameron (Mar. 14-16)... Combined to post a .625 batting average (10-for-16) with 12 runs scored, 10 RBI's and five doubles in the series against Sul Ross State (Apr. 4-7). Rigtrup was 3-for-3 with four runs scored in a 19-5 win in game one against the Lobos (Apr. 4); was 3-for-5 with four RBI's, three runs scored and two doubles in a 23-8 win in game two (Apr. 6); was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI's, including RBI-doubles in the first inning and the eighth inning, in a 15-14 win in game three (Apr. 6); and hit 2-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs scored in a 26-11 win in the series finale (Apr. 7)... Then led the Falcons in hitting for the second weekend in a row, hitting .545 with six hits while also leading the team with four walks and a .667 on base percentage against Oklahoma Christian (Apr. 11-13). He had two hits in three of the four games against the Eagles and was 2-for-2 with two walks in a 10-4 win in game two (Apr. 12). Rigtrup scored a run in each of the final three games of the series against the Eagles, including scoring on a wild pitch in each of the final two games. He also had a runner caught from behind home plate in each of the final two games of the series... Highlighted the Falcons' 9-5 win in game two at St. Mary's (Apr. 18) with a three-run home run in the fifth inning before adding a two-run single later in the game to finish with a season-best five RBI’s. Rigtrup finished the series against the Rattlers hitting .429 (6-for-14), and in addition to hitting both a two-run double and three-run home run, led the team with nine RBI’s, four walks and a .556 on-base percentage. Rigtrup also had two hits with one run scored in each of the final three games of the series at St. Mary’s, and totaled nine RBI's over the final three games... In the final series of the season against Lubbock Christian (Apr. 25-27), Rigtrup was 2-for-4 with two RBI’s in both game two and game four, and had a two-run single and a run scored during his Senior Day in the final game of the season... Ended his career by being named as one of UTPB’s Edgardo Madrid & Associates Men’s Student-Athletes of the Month for April after starting in all 17 games (10 catcher; 7 designated hitter) during the month. The month of April saw Rigtrup hit .500 while leading the UTPB baseball team in on-base percentage (.597), hits (29), RBI's (26) and walks (11). In all, he helped lead the Falcons to an 11-6 overall record (10-6 LSC) during the final month, accounting for over half of the team's 20 wins throughout the season. The Falcons did not lose a series during the month of April, sweeping one series and splitting the final three series... Named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team... Also named to the Spring 2025 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

Senior (2024):
Appeared in 41 games and started in 30 of them... Totaled 28 runs and 43 hits... Drove in 28 runs... Had a batting average of .361 to go with a .450 on base percentage... had 12 multiple hit games... His lone home run of the season came vs. Oklahoma Christian (Apr. 26)... Fielding includes a total of 48 putouts... Helped the Falcons reach the NCAA Tournament... Named to the Fall 2023 & Spring 2024 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll... Earned 2025 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.

Junior (2023):
Appeared in 39 games, drawing the start in 38 … Had six doubles, two triples and three home runs, scored 29 runs, drove in 26 runs, drew 25 walks and batted .375 … Had 13 multiple hit, 10 multiple run and seven multiple RBI games … Had three hits, scored two runs and drove in five vs. Oklahoma Christian (Apr. 28) … Third in UTPB history for on-base percentage (.490) …In the Lone Star, was ranked among the top 10 in on-base percentage and runners thrown out (5) … Named to the Spring 2023 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
