Biography

2025 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Started in 25 of her 26 matches played... Was tied for second on the team in starts and was third on the team with 93 sets... Was second on the team with 46 total blocks and seven solo blocks... Was third on the team in kills (195) and kills per set (2.10), was fourth in points (227.5) and points per set (2.45), and was fifth with a .158 attack percentage... Also had 66 digs and six service aces... Had double-digit kills in seven matches, including a season-high 16 kills in two matches... Had a streak of three straight matches with double-digit kills during UTPB's trip to California... Had double-digit kills in five of her first seven matches of the season... Had at least three blocks in seven matches as well, including a season-high five blocks in the Falcons' home opener vs. St. Edward's (Sept. 26)... Had at least three blocks in each of UTPB's first three conference matches of the season... Led UTPB with 16 kills and added three blocks during her first action of the season vs. Southern Nazarene (Sept. 5)...  Led the Falcons with 10 kills, hit .360 percent and added nine digs in the first win of the season, 3-0, vs. Arkansas-Monticello (Sept. 6). She finished the first set against UAM with six kills on .600 percent hitting... Matched her season-high with 16 kills and had two kills in the deciding fifth set in a 3-2 comeback win vs. Azusa Pacific (Sept. 12)... Finished with 12 kills at Vanguard (Sept. 13) and added 15 kills later that day vs. Stanislaus State (Sept. 13), giving her double-digit kills in three straight matches... Had nine kills in back-to-back matches at Oklahoma Christian (Setp. 18) and vs. Lubbock Christian (Sept. 19) in the LSC Challenge... Added five kills and a team-high three blocks in a 3-0 win at Cameron (Oct. 3)... Contributed with eight kills in a big 3-0 win at Oklahoma Christian (Oct. 4)... Had eight kills, seven digs, four blocks and two aces in a 3-0 home win vs. UT Dallas (Oct. 11). Trailing 24-23 in the first set, Whatley helped UTPB rise up. She first earned a kill to tie the set at 24-24 and then teamed on an assisted block to give the Falcons set point before finishing things off with another kill to earn the 26-24 win... Had five kills and four blocks in a loss at Texas Woman's (Oct. 25), her third and final match of the season with at least four blocks... Had eight kills in a 3-1 win at Sul Ross State (Oct. 28)... Had five kills and scored the final point of the second set with a kill to get back at her former school, Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 1), and put UTPB on the scoreboard tied at one set apiece... Late in the season she had 12  kills while hitting .417 percent in a 3-0 win vs. Texas A&M International (Nov. 14). It was also her lone match this season with two solo blocks... Finished the year with four kills and two blocks in a Senior Day win vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville (Nov. 15).

Spring 2025:
Transferred to UTPB.


Eastern New Mexico (2024):
Named an LSC Volleyball Player to Watch during the preseason... Did not make an appearance for ENMU during the 2024 season.

New Mexico JC (2023):
Played one season at New Mexico Junior College, playing under head coach Holli Reyna... Recorded 171 kills and 128 blocks on the season with a .344% hitting percentage... Whatley ranked top-five on the team in several categories: kills (171, 5th), kills per set (1.37 k/s, 5th), hitting percentage (.334, 3rd), blocks (128, 1st), and blocks per set (1.02 b/s)... Posted highest point total (11.5 points) during NJCAA DI Championship tournament against Mineral Area College, accounting for nine kills and four total blocks (11/16)... Picked up a career-high eight blocks against New Mexico Military Insitute during 3-1 victory in Region V Tournament (11/4)... Recognized to the WJCAC All-Conference team (First-Team).

Hereford (HS):
Competed at Hereford HS, playing under head coach Carley McCarken... Recognized as Newcomer of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in her time at Hereford... State 100 Hurdles Qualifier... Runner-up State Volleyball Tournament.
