Nicole Midder enters her first season as an assistant coach at UT Permian Basin.
Midder comes to UTPB after previously serving under Coach Rae Boothe at Friends University as an assistant coach for five years. As an assistant she helped with academics, recruiting, scouting, game film and transportation. In her time as an assistant the Falcons would go 119-46 with five NAIA Championship Tournament appearances.Â
She took over the program as the interim head coach for the 2017-18 season after Coach Boothe came to Odessa. In that one season Friends would finish 24-9 and reach the NAIA Championships First Round, while winning the conference by seven games.

Prior to becoming a basketball coach Midder served in the United States Army for eight years. Midder graduated from Friends in 2012 after playing two seasons with the Falcons.
