Assistant Athletic Trainer (I’m so fortunate to be able to work with a tremendous staff. Coach Sam is a rising star in this profession. She has grown tremendously and works incredibly hard. Each season she gains more and more responsibility. I truly believe we are building a first class program and I know we wouldn’t be close without her. It is my honor to promote Sam to be our Associate Head Coach. )

Ryan came to UTPB in July of 2017 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.  He is responsible for the health and wellness for football, men's and women's basketball, cross country and tennis programs.

Prior to starting at UTPB, Ryan worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at West Virginia University as he completed the requirements for a Master’s of Science degree.  He was assigned to a rural high school, where he provided athletic training coverage for the school’s student-athletes.

He also worked at the University of Maryland in the schools inaugural year in the Big Ten Conference, where he was a resident athletic trainer for the wrestling team.

Ryan earned a Bachelor’s of Science from Penn State University, where he had hundreds of clinical hours with the university’s various sport teams; including the four-time Big Ten and NCAA National Champion wrestling team.  Prior to his senior year at Penn State, he earned a highly-competitive training camp internship with the athletic training staff of the New York Jets.

Ryan is originally from New Jersey, and has a great deal of knowledge about many trivial things that are otherwise useless in life.
