Mike Dubose is entering his first season on the bench at UT Permian Basin.
DuBose spent last season at Howard College helping the Hawks to a 16-12 record. Prior to that he spent three seasons at the Division I level at McNesse State. There they made the Southland Conference Tournament twice. DuBose recruited and coached Sha'markus Kennedy the 2020 Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and holder of 15 individual program records, as well as Dru Kuxhausen the 2020 NCAA leading three-point shooter.
He also spent time at Chipola College and Southwest Mississippi Community College where he won a Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges State Championship at the latter in 2016. DuBose was an assistant coach at Potters House Christian Academy in Florida where he helped develop future NBA first round draft pick Udoka Azubuike. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a bachelors in sports management in 2010.
