The University of Texas Permian basin men's basketball team has added Justin Graham to the coaching staff for the 2023-24 season.
Graham was an assistant coach at Clarendon College (Texas) during the 2022-23 season. He assisted in the Bulldogs going 25-5 and qualifying for the NJCAA Region 5 Tournament. Among his duties, Graham led the strength and conditioning program and monitored and helped with player academics.
Graham started his playing career at Hartford, an NCAA Division I school. During his three years with the Hawks, he was selected as the America East Conference Sixth-Man of the Year (2014-15), made the America East Academic honor roll and was selected team captain (2015-16).
Graham played his senior year at Arkansas Tech where he made an impact. He averaged 14.59 points, five rebounds and 4.83 assists per game while shooting 50.8% from the floor, 48.5% on 3-pointers and 78.4% from the line. Graham was a unanimous All-Great American Conference first team selection. He helped the Wonder Boys go 21-8 and qualify for the NCAA Division II tournament.
Graham was a graduate assistant at Arkansas Tech (2018-20), assistant coach at Central Baptist (Ark.) (2020-21) and assistant coach at Wayland Baptist (Texas) (2021-22). He assisted in Central Baptist and Wayland Baptist qualifying for the post-season.
Graham has a B.S. in Business Administration / Management and Marketing from Arkansas Tech. He is working on a Master of Education in Athletics with an emphasis in Activities Administration from William Woods (Mo.).
