2026 (Redshirt Senior):
Nominated for the William V. Campbell Trophy®, awarded to the nation’s top football scholar-athlete. 

2025 (Redshirt Junior):
Helped UTPB advance to the third round of the NCAA Division II Football Championship playoffs... Member of a team that finished the season ranked No. 3 nationally.... Contributed to one of the most successful seasons in program history... Helped the Falcons earn postseason victories over CSU-Pueblo and Western Colorado... Helped UTPB produce one of NCAA Division II’s highest-ranked offenses... Named Honorable Mention All-LSC... In his first season as a Falcon after arriving from Morehead State, Eakins started in each of the first 10 games of the season at left tackle/guard before missing the regular-season finale... In all, he started in 13 games this season, making 11 of those starts at left tackle... Also started and appeared in multiple games at left guard when the team needed him to... He totaled 834 snaps on the season and graded out at 85 percent... Helped the UTPB offense average 330.1 passing yards per game, 461.9 total yards per game, and 37.1 points per game... Helped the UTPB offense rank 21st in the country for third-down conversion percentage, ninth for fourth-down conversion percentage, 20th in completion percentage, second in first downs, third in passing offense, 16th in scoring offense, and eighth in total offense... Named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team... Named to the Fall 2025 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Morehead State (2023-2024):
Joined brother Britt as Eagle newcomers... Played 12 games in two years... Made the Pioneer Football League Honor Roll in both years... AS A SECOND YEAR (FALL 2024): Appeared in four games... AS A FIRST YEAR (FALL 2023): Appeared in eight games. 

Seton Hill (2021-2022):
Transfer from Seton Hill (Pa.) where he was on the team in 2021 and 2022 for head coach Daniel Day... Started his career as a tight end before moving to the offensive line (guard) in 2022.

New Oxford (HS):
Scored a pair of touchdowns as a junior and senior at New Oxford (Pa.) High School for head coach Jason Warner... On offense he was a 2019 Honorable Mention All-County and 2020 First-Team All-County tight end... On defense he was a 2020 Second-Team All-County defensive end... Named First-Team YAIAA as a tight end... Helped team win first division title since 2002 as a senior... Also played basketball.

Personal:
Younger brother, Brittyn, played with him at Morehead State, transferred to UTPB with Torbyn as a running back in Spring 2025, and is a current student assistant coach at UTPB... Grandfather, Jim Eakins, played basketball at BYU (1965-1968) and professionally in the ABA (1968-1976) and NBA (1976-1978)... Father, Jeff Eakins, played basketball at BYU and spent time coaching in the NBA G-League.  Along with coaching, he founded the International Basketball Academy and has gone internationally to do basketball development camps, in places such as Germany, Hong Kong, and the Bahamas helping develop basketball fundamentals in young players.... Mother, Missy Eakins, was a gymnast at SUU... Torbyn got engaged to his fiancée, Terra, in April 2026 and after his final season at UTPB, he plans to support her through her vet school studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado... His dream/goal to make it to the next level as a football player is still alive.

Campbell Trophy Nomination:
Torbyn is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has been a participant in church and community-service projects throughout his life... Outside of his own playing career, Torbyn has taken an entrepreneurial approach to helping younger athletes through X1 Sports. He has organized and provided individual and small-group offensive-line instruction, film review, goal setting, and mentorship. His work has helped developing players improve their technique, confidence, preparation, and understanding of the game. One freshman offensive tackle he trained went on to earn a varsity starting position. Through these efforts, Torbyn has also gained experience communicating with athletes and families, promoting training opportunities, and developing his presence and reputation as an offensive-line trainer... Following the death of his mother, Missy, in March 2026, Torbyn began developing Miss E’s Cookies in her honor. He hopes to eventually grow the idea into a business that preserves her legacy and contributes a portion of its future proceeds to endometriosis research.
