Biography

2025 (Junior):
Played and started in each of the first two games of the season at defensive end... Overall, he played and started in three of the first four games of the season (final start at jack linebacker)... Just like his brother, Malotumau, Johnny had five total tackles and one tackle for loss on the year... Had two solo tackles in UTPB's season-opening upset win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30)... Then had a season-high three total tackles (2 solo, 1 assisted) and added a tackle for loss at Adams State (Sept. 6)... Named to the Spring 2026 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

New Mexico Military Institute (2023-2024):
Appeared in 18 games in his career, totaling 96 tackles, 67 solo tackles, 36 tackles for loss and 11 sacks... In 2023 he was named to the Second-Team All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) Team and played in 12 games with 74 tackles, 51 solo tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery... Averaged 6.2 tackles per game that season... Was named NJCAA Player of the Week after terrorizing the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M backfield all day (Oct. 23, 2023), racking up 11 tackles including five for a total loss of 19 yards, two sacks and a quarterback hurry... Shot through the gap and wrapped up the quarterback in the endzone vs. Kilgore College (Sept . 18, 2023), scoring a safety when Cameron Peters was flagged for intentional grounding... In 2024 he played in six games with 22 tackles, 16 solo tackles, six tackles for loss and one sack.

Also played men's volleyball in high school.

Personal:
Brother, Malotumau (defensive lineman), transferred to UTPB from Culver-Stockton College the same time Johnny transferred to UTPB from New Mexico Military Institute.
