Played at Lake Erie College before moving on as a defensive lineman at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB)... Played in 10 games in 2023 and totaled six tackles.

High school: Won a New Jersey state championship with East Orange High School in 2021... Awarded First-Team All-Conference, County, and Division... Second-Team All-State... Played on the All-Jersey Sportszone Team... Lettered for one year... Team captain... Also a member of the track & field team.

Dieunerst Collin is the college football player who became famous as the "Popeyes meme kid" after a 2013 video of him looking sideways in a restaurant went viral. He turned that childhood internet moment into a college sports success story... The Meme: Filmed at age 9 in Irvington, New Jersey, holding a drink cup and giving a confused look... NIL Partnership: Signed an official Name, Image, and Likeness deal with Popeyes in January 2023 after posting his football success online... Dieunerst Collin, who rose to fame on social media in 2013 as the “Popeyes Kid,” landed an NIL deal with Popeyes. As a high school senior in 2021, many people remembered that Collin was the child who became famous on social media in 2013. He won a state championship in 2021 and sent out a tweet that said, “From Popeyes to a state champion,” Dieunerst said. He attended Cicely L. Tyson High School in East Orange, New Jersey and was a standout offensive lineman on the state championship team. With Collin’s status as a college athlete, he was able to take advantage of his fame and he turned it into a deal with Popeyes. This week, Collin used his platform on social media to request an NIL deal with the chain restaurant. Popeyes granted his request and struck an NIL deal with Collin.
