Ryver Rodriguez is the Falcons' running backs coach in 2025. He was the assistant wide receivers coach/special teams assistant in 2024 and was the assistant quarterback's coach in his first season in 2023.
In Rodriguez's third season at UTPB (2025), the Falcon's made the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the second time in program history and advanced to the Super Region Final (NCAA Quarterfinals) for the first time in program history. UTPB finished the season 11-3 overall, setting a program record for wins in a single season while also earning the first two playoff wins in program history, and was in a three-team tie for second in the Lone Star Conference with a 7-2 record. Rodriguez coached two all-conference running backs (Kory Harris, second-team; Camden Tyler, honorable mention) in his first year as the team's running backs coach.
Rodriguez coached the back-to-back Lone Star Conference Wide Receiver of the Year in Jeremiah Cooley and a second-team all-conference selection in Deon Cook in 2024.
Rodriguez signed to play with the Falcons in 2022 and was a player for one year before transitioning to coaching the next year.
Rodriguez appeared in one state championship as a quarterback for Midland Christian School (2019-2022).
A native of Midland, Texas, Rodriguez is expected to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology in December 2025. He enjoys weekends at the lake and hanging out with friends, family, and his girlfriend, Brinlee.
