Ryan Lusby joins the UT Permian Basin staff for his first season as the Offensive Coordinator, after serving as the Offensive Coordinator for the University of Arkansas Monticello Boll Weevils.
While at Arkansas Monticello Lusby coached an offense that had a three-time All-American, one conference Freshman Player of the Year, and seven All-Conference selections.
Prior to his time in Monticello, he served as the Offensive Coordinator at Coffeyville Community College for one season. There he mentored eight All-Conference selections and one Junior College All-American.
Before that, Lusby served as the Quarterbacks Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Henderson State University. There he coached three All-Conference selections, won one Great American Conference Championship, and helped lead the team to the second round of the NCAA Playoffs.
Lusby got his coaching start at his Alma Mater, Texas A&M University – Commerce, where he played Quarterback, and went on to become the Wide Receivers coach. At Commerce, Lusby guided four All-Conference wide receivers, including a two-time Lone Star Conference Wide Receiver of the Year, while winning the Lone Star Conference.
Ryan has two sons, Peyton (5) and Drew (2).
