Marquez Gollman is in his second year as the Safeties Coach for UT Permian Basin football in 2025.

Gollman previously coached at Grand Valley State University as an Assistant Defensive Backs Coach (2022-23), helping his team go 11-0 to win the GLIAC Championship. The squad was also the No. 1 scoring defense and the No. 4 rush defense in the nation. Notable players he has coached in his career include: Nyzier Fourqurean (Transferred to Wisconsin), Terez Reid (Transferred to FAU), Devin Pringle (Transferred to UCONN) and Ian Kennelly (Detroit Lions).

Gollman played collegiately at Grand Rapids Community College (2011-12) and then at Grand Valley State (2012-16), where he was a First-Team All-American and was a two-time First-Team All-Region and First-Team All-GLIAC player. In his final season at GVSU in 2015, Gollman was a College Commissioner’s Association First-Team All-American and made the CCA Super Region 4 First-Team. He was also a Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Honorable Mention All-American and made the Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Super Region 4 First-Team, and was a D2Football.com Honorable Mention All-American. He was named First-Team All-GLIAC and was the GVSU Defensive Skill Co-Player of the Year. He started all 15 games in his final season and was second on the team in tackles with 117 (58 solo/59 assisted). He recorded 8.5 tackles for loss (-28) and two sacks (-10), tallied three interceptions and five pass reflections as well as two defensive touchdowns. He recorded eight games with eight or more tackles.

Gollman played high school ball at Ypsilanti High School (2007-11), where he was named Honorable Mention Division 3-4 All-State by both the Associated Press and Detroit News after collecting 98 tackles, 11 sacks, four interceptions and three forced fumbles on the season. He also had 12 catches for 303 yards and seven touchdowns and was named all-conference and all-area as both a junior and senior.

Gollman earned his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management from GVSU and minored in Advertising & Public Relations.

The Ypsilanti, Michigan native has two daughters: Shaelyn and Dream Gollman.
