Biography

2026 (First-Year):
Was 1-4 in eight starts and 13 appearances... Allowed a 9.00 ERA, a 1.88 WHIP, 45 hits, 49 total runs, 34 earned runs, 19 walks and 27 strikeouts in 34.0 innings pitched... Was third on the team in game started, was tied for third in strikeouts, and was fourth in both total appearances and innings pitched.... Allowed just one hit in three innings during UTPB's 2-0 shutout win over No. 12 Angelo State (Feb. 1) during opening weekend. It was his first collegiate appearance, but Alexander proved the moment was not too big, coming in with the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth inning, battling to a full count and then getting a groundout to third base to end the inning. Alexander then returned to the mound and pitched a scoreless top of the seventh inning, got a pair of strikeouts for the first two outs in a scoreless top the top of the eighth inning, and then got the first two outs of the ninth inning with back-to-back flyouts to center field... Made his first-career start in the series finale vs. West Texas A&M (Mar. 1) and was on it through five innings, allowing two runs, five hits, zero walks, one hit by pitch and three strikeouts. Alexander would finish with a line of 5.2 innings pitched allowing six hits and seven total runs, but just one earned run. It was his most innings pitched in a game this season... Set down the first six batters of the game and notched five strikeouts while allowing just one hit within three scoreless innings to start the game in a close 7-5 win over Eastern New Mexico (Mar. 8). It was a good starting-pitcher performance from Alexander, who pitched the first five innings and allowed six hits, five runs and just one walk to go along with six strikeouts to earn his first collegiate win. Alexander also became the first UTPB pitcher not named Damian Robles to see his team earn the win during his start... Pitched at leave five innings for the third straight start and left with the lead after allowing three hits, three total runs, one earned run, four walks and six strikeouts in five innings vs. Cameron (Mar. 14)... Pitched four innings allowing three hits, no runs, no walks and two strikeouts in a 5-0 win vs. Sul Ross (Apr. 2), and needed only 39 pitches to do so... Again left with the lead after allowing seven hits, five runs, one walk and four strikeouts in five innings in game four at Oklahoma Christian (Apr. 10)... Named to the Spring 2026 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
