Biography

2026 (Sophomore):
Was 1-4 in two starts and 14 appearances... Allowed a 14.29 ERA, a 2.87 WHIP, 37 hits, 41 total runs, 36 earned runs, 28 walks, 16 strikeouts, and a .389 opponents' batting average in 22.2 innings pitched... Was tied for second on the team in pitching appearances... Was sixth on the team in strikeouts and was seventh in innings pitched... Was one of three players on the team to record a save... Earned the win (1-0) after pitching a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning and not allowing a hit 1.2 total innings in a 10-8 victory at Texas A&M International (Feb. 7)... Made his first start of the season and finished with nine total runs, five earned runs, five hits and eight walks allowed in 3.2 innings in the series opener at St. Edward's (Feb. 20)... Allowed two hits and zero runs while pitching the final 3.2 innings of relief vs. West Texas A&M (Feb. 28)... After allowing a walk and a single to start off the bottom of the seventh inning, Lozoya got three straight strikeouts to close out a 12-4 win at Eastern New Mexico (Mar. 7)... After a leadoff single to third base in the bottom of the ninth inning, Head Coach Justin Phillips made the decision to bring in Lozoya to try and close it out. Lozoya promptly induced a 6-4-3 double play to, and followed that with a groundball to second base to pick up the save and preserve a 7-5 win against at ENMU (Mar. 8). It was his third straight appearance without allowing a run... Allowed just two hits, one run and one walk in the final 2.2 innings but was tagged with the loss (1-4) in a close 9-8 defeat vs. No. 17 St. Mary's (Apr. 18)... Named to the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2025 (First-Year):
Appeared in 12 total games as a true freshman... From the plate he totaled one hit (double) and one run scored and in two at bats, and had both a walk and a hit by pitch for a .750 on-base percentage... Was 1-for-1 with a double (first-career hit) and a run (first-career run) at Sul Ross State (Apr. 6)... On the mound he made eight appearances with two starts... Totaled 10.2 innings pitched and a 10.97 earned run average... Allowed 20 hits, 17 total runs, 13 earned runs, nine walks and six strikeouts.
