Biography

2026 (Redshirt Freshman):
Started in 16 of his 33 games... Hit .263 with 18 runs, 16 hits, one double, two triples, one home run, 11 RBI's, 24 total bases, 11 walks, four hit by pitches, eight stolen bases (8-for-9), a .443 on-base percentage and a .436 slugging percentage in 55 at bats... Was tied for first on the team in triples, was tied for second in stolen bases, and was tied for seventh in walks... Was second in on-base percentage (among all players) and seventh in slugging percentage (among all players)... Posted a great .962 fielding percentage (2 errors in 52 chances) and 49 putouts playing from the outfield... Started the season being used mostly as a pinch runner before later earning his spot in the starting lineup... Scored a run as a pinch runner in all three games of the first series of the season vs. No. 12 Angelo State (Jan. 30-Feb. 1)... Made his first-career start in left field and was 2-for-3 with two runs scored (first two hits of his career), a walk, a hit by pitch and a stolen base in the series opener vs. Wes Texas A&M (Feb. 27)... Was 2-for-4 with a standup RBI-triple perfectly placed into the right field corner in the first inning of game two vs. Sul Ross (Apr. 2), walked twice and scored three runs in game three (Apr. 3), and smacked a two-run double off the fence in right field in the series finale. Estrada got a great jump and made a running catch deep in left center field to end the final game and finish off the sweep of the Lobos. He had at least one hit in all three of his games played vs. the Lobos, and finished the series hitting .444 with four hits, four runs, three RBI's, three walks and a .615 on-base percentage... Was 2-for-5 with an RBI-single while also throwing out a runner at home plate in the first game of UTPB's final home series vs. No. 17 St. Mary's (Apr. 17). He then had two runs scored to go along with a triple, a walk and a hit by pitch in game two (Apr. 18). He again had at least one hit in all three of his games played vs. the Rattlers, including a pinch-hit, RBI-single in the finale (Apr. 19). In all for the series vs. StMU, Estrada hit .444 (4-for-9) with two runs, two RBI's, a triple, a .545 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage... Started in all four games in the final series of the season at Lubbock Christian (Apr. 24-26), his only time this season starting all four games of a season. He it his first-career home run with a leadoff homer to left center field on the first pitch in the top of the fifth inning in game three. He also had two RBI's on a pair of fielder's choices in game four and tied for the team-lead in RBI's (4) for the final series... Named to the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
