AS A FRESHMAN: Played in all of the team’s 27 games and started one during his first season with the program…Averaged four points and one rebound a game…Hit 36-of-103 shots from the field for 35 percent and 14-of-38 from behind the three-point line…Scored a season-high nine points against Dallas Baptist at home and eight points on three other occasions…In his only start of the season against Newman, played 23 minutes and score six points.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw action in 26 games where he averaged nearly 10 minutes of playing time a game…Tied a career-high with nine points against Western New Mexico in his second game of the season…Hit 17-of-22 shots from the free throw line and dished out 26 assists including a career-high five against Western New Mexico.

AS A JUNIOR: Started 17 of the 25 games he played in where he averaged 3.9 points and 1.8 rebounds a game…Hit 18-of-23 free throws and tallied 48 assists…Scored a career-high 15 points in the final game of the season at Lincoln…Also put in 13 points at Abilene Christian where he was 4-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the three-point line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Port St. Lucie High School where he averaged 13 points and seven assists a game…Was named the team’s most valuable player and was named to the all-district team…Helped his team to a 21-10 record…Was also named all-district in football.

PERSONAL: Luther Thomas was born June 9, 1988 in Memphis Tenn…Is the son of Carylon and Johnny Thomas of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
