PRIOR TO UTPB: Played two seasons at New Mexico Highlands.

AS A JUNIOR: Played in 25 games and started 12 in his first season with the team…Averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds a game…Scored in double-figures in four games, including a career-high 12 points against Adams State where he was 6-of-7 from the field…Hit 52-of-93 shots from the field for 55.9 percent which was the highest on the team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lubbock High School where he played three seasons for the Westerners…Averaged 14 points, five rebounds and four assists a game his senior season where he helped lead the team to a 26-7 record en route to a district championship…Was named to the Caprock and Monahans Classic All-Tournament teams…Also helped lead his team to a district co-championship as a junior…Garnered three letters in track and field.

PERSONAL: Austin Williams was born Jan. 14, 1988 in Lubbock, Texas…Is the son of Elise Browne and J. Leon Williams Jr. of Lubbock.
