2025 (Graduate Student):
Appeared in 13 games with two starts vs. Sul Ross State (Nov. 15) in the regular-season finale and at No. 2 Harding (Dec. 6) in the third round of the NCAA Playoffs... Was tied for fourth on the team with 37 total tackles... Was also tied for sixth on the team in both solo tackles (20) and assisted tackles (17)... Had at least one tackle in 12 games, including all three playoff games, and made at least four tackles in five games... Had five tackles in the win at Adams State (Sept. 6)... Had a season-high seven tackles and added a stuff on a run attempt by the holder as No. 13 Central Washington tried a fake field goal from the 19-yard line early in the second quarter (Oct. 11)... Was second on the team with six tackles at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1)... Earned the start and made five tackles to go along with a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss during his Senior Day vs. Sul Ross State... Recorded three tackles as No. 10 UTPB defeated No. 15 Western Colorado 21-15 in the second round of the playoffs and made two more tackles as No. 10 UTPB's historic year came to an end in the 2025 NCAA Division II Football Championship Super Region 4 Final with a 34-28 loss at No. 2 Harding.

2024 (Graduate Student):
Appeared in two games... Named to the Spring 2025 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2023 (Senior):
Played in 10 games... Had 27 solo tackles with 11 assists for 38 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and forced a fumble... Recorded a career-high 10 tackles vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 30)... Picked off a pass returned it 24 yards against Western New Mexico (Nov. 4).

Champ and his brothers, Caimon, Crimson and Canden, all played football together at UTPB in 2025.
