AS A SOPHOMORE:  Was named honorable mention all-conference after helping the Falcons to their first-ever NCAA appearance...Was third on the team in scoring with 13.2 points a game and tied for the team lead with 11 blocks...Shot a team-best 50 percent from the field (144-288) and drained 14 three-pointers...After putting up nine points in the first game of the season, she scored in double-figures over the next 13 games including a season-high 25 at Southwestern Oklahoma...Also put in 23 against Bellarmine...Pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds against Western Oregon and also grabbed 10 against University of the Southwest and Cameron.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Played one season at Western Texas College where she averaged 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals a game…Was named to the all-conference first team as well as All-Region…Was on the Dean’s List.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-sport standout at Americas High School in El Paso…Was named first-team all-district all three seasons and was the city and district Most Valuable Player during her senior season..Helped her team win a district title as a sophomore and junior…Was a four-year letter winner in track and holds the school record in the 100-meter dash.

PERSONAL: Teisha King was born Aug. 5, 1991 in Hawaii…Is the daughter of Darryl and Barbara Watts of El Paso…Majoring in math.
