Biography

2019: Nelson played in seven games rushing for 294 yards and a school record six touchdowns. He started his career with a bang taking his first two carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against Wayland Baptist. He ran for 44 yards and a touchdown against Northern Michigan. He ran for a season-high 60 yards and two touchdowns at Western New Mexico. He ran for 53 yards and a touchdown against West Texas A&M.

High School: Nelson was a 9-5A Second-Team All-East Texas and Second-Team All-State running back for Longview Pine Tree HS. He rushed 205 times for 1,634 yards and 12 touchdowns and is the single season rushing record-holder at Longview Pine Tree. He added eight catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.
