2017: Solis played in 11 games as a sophomore, finishing the year fourth on the team with 52 tackles. He added four tackles-for-loss and three QB hits. He made 11 tackles at Lamar. He had 10 tackles and two tackles for loss at Eastern New Mexico. He made seven tackles against Texas A&M – Kingsville. He had seven tackles against Quincy. 
 
2016: Solis played in 11 games as a freshman, ending the season with 83 tackles, 10 tackles-for-loss for 42 yards, and three sacks for 23 yards. He opened the season with 10 tackles, a QB hurry and a pass break-up against Sul Ross. He made six tackles with two tackles-for-loss for two yards against Arizona Christian. He recorded 10 tackles with one tackle-for-loss against West Texas A&M. Solis made 3.5 tackles-for-loss, including one sack for 10 yards, in recording 11 tackles against Western New Mexico. He had two sacks for 13 yards and seven tackles against Tarleton. He made 11 tackles against Eastern New Mexico. He had a season-high 12 tackles with one tackle-for-loss for 12 yards against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
