AS A SENIOR: Played in 28 games and started nine…Was 20-of-52 from the field and pulled down 50 rebounds…averaged 2.1 points and 3.3 rebounds a game…Scored a season-high seven points at St. Mary’s on Feb. 4, 2010 where she was 2-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

AS A JUNIOR: Started five of the 26 games she played in…scored 73 points on the year, averaging 2.8 per game while pulling down 5.3 rebounds a game, which was best on the team…Pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds at home against Tarleton State on Nov. 29, 2008…Pulled down eight rebounds in four consecutive games to end the season.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Played one season at Clarendon College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Estacada High School for coach Diane Morgan.

PERSONAL: Taja Tanner was born Feb. 24, 1988 in Lubbock, Texas…Is the daughter of Rodney Tanner and Tonya Barnett of Lubbock…Majoring in criminal justice.
