AS A JUNIOR:  Started 28 of the 29 games she appeared in where she averaged 7.1 points and 2.7 rebounds an outing...Put in a season-high 16 at Abilene Christian where she was 7-of-13 from the field and knocked down two three-pointers...Scored in double-figures on eight different occasions, including four-straight games.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Played at New Mexico Junior College where she averaged eight points a game and helped lead the Thunderbirds to regional playoffs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Lee High School in Midland, Texas where she averaged 12 points, six assists and two steals a game as a senior…Was named to the all-district team as a senior and was given the Runnin Rebel Award as well as the title of Miss Most Athletic…Helped team win a district title her junior season

PERSONAL: Cashena Mathis was born Aug. 7, 1989 in Odessa, Texas…Is the daughter of Jason Lewis and Wenel Monnis of Midland…Majoring in psychology.
