AS A SOPHOMORE:  Appeared in all 29 games where she averaged 13.8 minutes of action an outing...Averaged 2.2 points and pulled down 85 rebounds, averaging 2.9 a clip...put in a career-high eight points on two different occasions and pulled down a career-high eight rebound in the second game of the season against Sul Ross. 

AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 27 of the team’s 29 games and started six…Averaged 0.7 points and 1.1 rebounds a game…Scored a then career-high two points on eight different occasions, the last coming against Newman on Feb. 27, 2010.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played two seasons at Americas High School in El Paso, Texas…Averaged 6.7 points and five rebounds a game her senior season…Was named to the honorable mention all-district team as a senior…Also participated in track and field…Was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and the National Technical Honors Society…Was given the Triple A Award.

PERSONAL: Tina Lira was born Feb. 9, 1990 in El Paso, Texas…Is the daughter of Gerardo Sr. and Alejandrina Lira of El Paso…Majoring in math.
