AS A JUNIOR: Started 19 of the 29 games she appeared in…Averaged 6.7 points and was second on the team in assists with 76…Was named to the Heartland Conference honorable mention all-conference team...Scored 10-or-more points on five different occasions, including a career-high 18 points against Lincoln where she was 6-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-7 from beyond the three-point line.

PRIOR TO UTPB: Played two seasons at Arizona Western where she helped the Matadors to a regional finals appearance.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, Calif. where she helped lead the team to the state playoffs…Was also a member of the softball team for three seasons.

PERSONAL: Andrea Chavez was born Dec. 5, 1988 in Oakland, Calif…Is the daughter of Mario Chavez and Nancy Madrid of North Hollywood, Calif…Majoring in kinesiology.
