LAREDO, Texas (September 21, 2026) – Due to intense heat in Laredo, Texas, the start time for The University of Texas Permian Basin women's soccer team's road match at Texas A&M International University on Wednesday, September 23, has been moved up one hour from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. from the Dustdevil Soccer Field.

It will be the third road match in the last four matches for UTPB (4-3-0 overall, 1-3-0 Lone Star Conference), which is coming off a 2-1 comeback win at home over Eastern New Mexico University on Saturday, September 19. It was the first win in LSC play this season for the Falcons, who have surpassed last year's win total during their first season under the direction of Head Coach Garrett Kull. UTPB scored twice against the Greyhounds in the final 28 minutes of the match, starting with the second goal of the season by sophomore Breanna Reagan, and then as the match reached its final 10 minutes, a corner kick by senior Cassandra Ramirez resulted in the game-winning goal on a header by sophomore Emily Morales. With the goal by Reagan earlier in the match, UTPB officially surpassed its 2025 season-goal total just seven matches into the year.

TAMIU (1-6-0, 1-3-0), meanwhile, is coming off a 2-0 loss at home against The University of Texas at Tyler on Saturday. TAMIU has also fell 2-0 at home against St. Mary's University and on the road at Midwestern State University during the first two weeks of conference play, but has sprinkled in a 1-0 road win at Angelo State University as well. In the win over the Rambelles, it was Tatiana Perez Lluis scoring in the 87th minute to lift the Dustdevils to a 1-0 road victory at the LeGrand Soccer Complex.
