5/13/2026 5:00:00 PM

With summer approaching in the Permian Basin, registration is now open for 2026 UTPB Athletics Summer Camps at The University of Texas Permian Basin.

Each year, Falcon Athletics hosts hundreds of campers from across West Texas for opportunities to train, compete and learn from UTPB coaches and student-athletes. This summer's lineup features camps in basketball and football, offering young athletes the chance to improve their skills in a fun and competitive environment.

UTPB Football will open its 2026 camp slate on May 30 with a one-day Elite Prospect Camp, giving high school athletes an opportunity to compete in front of the Falcon coaching staff and showcase their skills in a high-level evaluation setting.

The program will then continue its summer schedule with a Youth Football Camp set for June 8-10, welcoming athletes in grades K-8 for an opportunity to learn the basics of the game of football in a fun and exciting environment.

UTPB men's basketball will host a full slate of camps throughout June, giving young athletes multiple opportunities to develop their skills, compete and learn directly from the Falcon coaching staff.

The summer lineup includes youth skills camps focused on building a strong foundation in basketball fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, footwork and defensive technique. In addition to the general skills camps, UTPB will also host a shooting camp dedicated specifically to improving shooting mechanics.

The UTPB women's basketball program will also host a camp for athletes in grades 5-9 on June 18-19, providing an opportunity for young players to develop their skills in a structured, competitive and encouraging environment.

The camp will focus on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the game, including ball handling, passing, shooting technique, footwork and defensive principles. Campers will receive hands-on instruction designed to improve both individual performance and overall basketball IQ.

The UTPB softball program will also host a prospect camp on June 15 for aspiring student-athletes looking to take the next step in their development and showcase their abilities in a competitive collegiate environment. Participants will also get the ability to show off their skills in live scrimmages held at the UTPB Softball fields.

The UTPB volleyball program will wrap up camp season for UTPB Athletics, hosting camps tentatively from July 20-23. More details will be made available in the coming weeks.
