RICHARDSON, Texas (February 15, 2026) – The final match of opening weekend for The University of Texas Permian Basin men's tennis team saw the Falcons fall 4-0 against Delta State University in neutral-site action on Sunday at the UTD Tennis Complex.
UTPB earned a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles by
Joao D'Amorim and
Nehal Naidoo over Marti Cerda Castillo and Valentino Millimaci, but fell 6-1 at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
In singles,
Andrew Hunsley fell 6-1, 6-1 to Alejandro Bravo at the No. 5 spot,
Kabir Chothani fell 6-2, 6-2 to Castillo at the No. 4 spot, and Naidoo fell 6-1, 6-3 to Valentin Greco at No. 3 singles.
D'Amorim (No. 1 singles) and
Lucas Nakasato (No. 2 singles) had both forced a third set before the match ended.
