ODESSA, Texas (February 12, 2026) – Due to potential rain on Friday evening, The University of Texas Permian Basin baseball team's series opener against Texas A&M University-Kingsville on Friday, February 13, has been moved up two hours to start at 11 a.m. from Roden Field.
UTPB enters the weekend 2-4 both overall and in the Lone Star Conference, and is looking to snap a seven-game losing streak against the Javelinas. TAMUK is 4-2 both overall and in the LSC, and is fifth in the conference standings after winnings two of three games in each of its first two series at Eastern New Mexico University and vs. Cameron University. This week, the Javelinas moved up two spots from No. 10 to No. 8 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) South Central Region Poll.
