ODESSA, Texas (January 20, 2026) – The Lone Star Conference announced that 2,988 student-athletes earned Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition for the Fall 2025 semester, including 928 individuals who posted a perfect 4.00 grade-point average for the just completed academic term.

Of those student-athletes who earned recognition, 172 were UT Permian Basin student-athletes – 41 having a perfect 4.00 GPA. It ties the school record for the most Falcons honored in one semester, tying the number set in Fall 2020.

"Our mission is to develop well-rounded student-athletes, and this record-tying academic achievement underscores that commitment," said UTPB's Vice President for Athletics, Scott Larson. "Our student-athletes continue to set the standard for academic achievement and we are incredibly proud of the discipline, time management, and dedication they demonstrate every day."

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the Fall and the Spring semesters with student-athlete qualification based on the grade point average for the specified semester. To be eligible for the recognition, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 grade-point average for the semester and be on the institution's sport or support staff roster.

Participants in all 19 LSC championship sports, three non-conference NCAA sports, and student staff assisting with athletic training, athletic performance and sports information are included among the Fall 2025 honorees.
