ODESSA, Texas – The Falcons Nest Exchange, supporting University of Texas Permian Basin student-athletes, officially launched its operations in July 2026 providing new resources and financial opportunities for Falcon student-athletes through Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Alongside the department's existing partnership with Athletic Solutions, The Falcons Nest Exchange further expands the opportunities available to Falcon student-athletes to build their personal brands and earn compensation.

Founded in 2022 following changes to NIL legislation, Athletic Solutions was created by former college athletes and passionate fans who saw an opportunity to create a better NIL experience for student-athletes. Built with a deep appreciation for college athletics, the company is committed to putting student-athletes at the center of everything it does.

Athletic Solutions empowers college athletes through its NIL Locker Room, providing access to premium, best-in-class products that help student-athletes build their personal brands and generate revenue through every purchase. The Falcons Nest Exchange is a custom-built NIL business registry designed to connect student-athletes with businesses, donors, alumni, and others interested in supporting Falcon student-athletes through NIL opportunities. Through the platform, registered business or individuals  can search for and filter student-athletes, then initiate conversations to explore potential NIL deals. Once an agreement is reached, businesses use the Exchange to process the transaction, which directly pays the student-athlete and automatically reports the activity to the Influencer NIL Management Compliance Ledger.

For added convenience, all activity within the Exchange is consolidated into a single 1099 form at year's end, simplifying tax reporting for both businesses and student-athletes. Finally, the Falcons Nest Collective, the NIL collective supporting UTPB student-athletes launched its operations to provide resources and financial opportunities for the Falcons this summer.
