ODESSA, Texas (May 14, 2025) – The University of Texas Permian Basin sports information office earned a district win in the 2024-25 CSC Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest. UTPB's Athletics Communication Specialist, Brandon Warr, was announced as the winner in the Coach/Administrator Profile category for the District 6 – College Division.

The award was earned for Warr's feature story on UTPB's Deputy Athletic Director / Senior Woman Administrator, Sarah Ramey, on October 25, 2024.

The contest was split into University and College divisions, allowing the recognition of the work done by members from smaller offices and those who work on NCAA Division I staffs.

District winners advance to the national ballot, with national winners in each of the categories to be announced later this month.

All writing had to have an original publish date between January 1-December 31, 2024, to be eligible.
