ODESSA, Texas (November 11, 2025) – For the second time this season, junior linebacker Tristan Exline of The University of Texas Permian Basin football team, has been named the D2Football.com Defensive Player of the Week, this time for "Week 10."

This award comes after Exline was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and for the third time in his career.

He is the first player in program history to win two national player of the week awards in their career.

Tristan Exline packed a season's worth of statistics into one game in the Falcons' win over Eastern New Mexico. Exline totaled 20 tackles on the night, eight of them solo. He had a quarterback sack and six tackles for loss, accounting for 38 yards of negative yardage. He also forced two fumbles. His night also included an impact play on special teams, catching 23-yard pass on a fake punt.
