ODESSA, Texas (January 13, 2025) – In addition to being named the LSC Co-Linebacker of the Year and First-Team All-LSC and earning a spot on the D2Football.com Elite 100 Squad Team, sophomore linebacker
Tristan Exline has now been named to the 2024 Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas Non-FBS team as well.
Exline led the Falcons with 104 total tackles, including 60 solo tackles, and was second with 16 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He also added one interception and one forced fumble. Exline ranked second in the LSC in tackles for loss, was third in sacks, and ranked fifth in total tackles and sixth in tackles per game (8.7). In NCAA Division II, Exline was tied for 22nd in solo tackles per game (5.0) and ranked 32nd in total tackles per game (8.7).
UTPB finished its 2024 season 7-5 overall and was tied for third place in the Lone Star Conference at 6-3. In addition to having the second-winningest season in program history, the Falcons have now had back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in their history.
UTPB made its second consecutive postseason appearance for the first time in program history and nearly defeated Central Missouri in the Heritage Bowl Powered by Riot.
