Kennedi Wright were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Falcons earned a 3-1 win over New Mexico Highlands University early on Saturday morning before returning to the court later in the day to sweep the 2023 Conference Carlolina's Champion, Emmanuel College.
Gregorski saw action in all 16 sets over the weekend. She totaled 76 digs and averaged 4.75 digs per set. She recorded a career-high 30 digs as a Falcon in a five-set defeat against Fort Lewis College on Friday, September 6, and then followed that up with a 20-dig effort in the four-set win over New Mexico Highlands the next morning.
Wright played in 15 sets and showcased her all-around skill set throughout the weekend. Wright was third on the team with 39.0 points (2.60 per set) and 33 kills (2.20 per set). She was also tied for third with 44 digs (2.93 per set) and was tied for fifth with 6.0 blocks.
Wright had back-to-back double-doubles to start her season on Friday, totaling a career-high 19 digs and 11 kills in a 3-1 loss against the No. 23 nationally-ranked University of Central Oklahoma in UTPB's season opener, and then reaching a career-high 15 kills and 12 digs in the next match against Fort Lewis. She also added two blocks in three of the Falcons' four matches over the opening weekend.
This week, the Falcons will host the Iceman Invitational. A total of three other teams will join UTPB for a total of six matches taking place inside the Falcon Dome from Thursday, September 12, through Saturday, September 14. The Falcons will play one match each day, beginning with Sul Ross State University at 5 p.m. in the lone match on Thursday.
