This football season, The University of Texas Permian Basin Athletics Department announced an exciting new partnership with West Texas Radio Group's "KQRX 95.1 FM, 95X" and KMID/Fox 24 to bring Falcon fans a weekly coach's show, featuring Head Football Coach Kris McCullough.
The UTPB Coaches Show, which debuted on August 30, has quickly gained momentum, growing its audience each week. The first two episodes attracted just over 1,000 viewers, and by week 3, that number jumped almost 50%, reaching 1,500 viewers.
With the most recent broadcast on September 20, early indications show even further growth, marking the show as a key source of excitement for Falcon football fans. "Coach McCullough has developed a Football Program that deserves a spotlight," said Mark A. Garcia, Vice President and General Manager KMID-TV / KPEJ-TV. "We are excited to work with UTPB, Coach McCullough, and West Texas Radio (95X- FM) to bring this unique broadcast back to the fans."
The show provides valuable insight for UTPB football fans, featuring discussions on upcoming match ups, Coach McCullough's thoughts on the season, and reflections on the previous week's performance. "I'm thankful for the partnership with West Texas Radio Group and KMID-TV/Fox 24," said Coach McCullough. "The more we can get the Falcon football brand out to the surrounding communities the better! I encourage everyone to tune in and get the most up to date info on everything Falcon Football. Falcons up!"
The 30-minute UTPB Coaches Show runs exclusively on FOX 24 (KPEJ-TV, 24.1) Friday nights, following the "FOX College Football Friday" weekly game broadcast. At the completion of the television broadcast, episodes are available on www.yourbasin.com under the Sports/UTPB Sports Tab.
Fans can also catch the show live every Thursday at 6:30pm by tuning into 95.1 FM or visiting 95xlive.com.
