ODESSA, Texas – The UT Permian Basin baseball team continues to win awards, as two Falcons – Mason Hamlin and Ethan Flodstrom - were named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association South Central Region Second Team.

Senior, Flodstrom (Outfield) was First Team All-Conference in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) and was named to the LSC All-Tournament team for his performance on the diamond in 2024. He concluded the season with a .384 batting average, recording 81 hits; 21 of those hits being doubles and had four triples and four home runs. He drove in 68 batters and scored 53 runs. He had a slugging percentage of .578, on base percentage of .489 and stole 12 bases. In the field he had 95 putouts.

Flodstrom doesn't just excel on the diamond, as he has been named to Commissioner's honor roll three times (Fall 2022, Fall & Spring 2023).

Sophomore, Hamlin (Shortstop) was Second Team All-Conference in the LSC and finished the season with a .370 batting average, recording 84 hits; 23 of those hits being doubles, five being home runs and one being a triple. He scored 79 runs during the season and had 52 RBIs. Hamlin had a slugging percentage of .551, on base percentage of .488 and stole 25 bases. In the field he had 77 putouts and 147 assists.

Hamlin also gets it done in the classroom, being named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll in the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.
