UTPB Sees The Pioneers Continue On

DENTON, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin softball team (1-14 Lone Star Conference, 4-20) lost 8-0 to Texas Woman's (12-6 LSC, 14-13), Saturday afternoon at Dianne Baker Field.

Texas Woman's scored three runs in the first inning and didn't look back.

For UT Permian Basin, senior Destini Trahan (0-8) gave up nine hits, eight runs, walked five and struck out three in four and one-third innings.

For Texas Woman's, Alyssa LeBlanc (7-5) gave up three hits, walked one and struck out six in five innings.

UT Permian Basin returns home, Tuesday, Mar. 12 taking on Oklahoma Christian.  The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
