Alexus Quaadman had a monster performance with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks but it wasn't enough as the Falcons fell 96-83.

Quaadman was one of three Falcons to finish in double figures, along with
Kamryn Lemon, 11 points, and
Holly Hemmeline, 11 points.

The Grizzlies scored the first two buckets of the game before
Morgan Helgesen connected from deep. Lemon then took over, scoring the next five Falcon points, before Makayla Bingley connected on a pair of free throws to give the Falcons a 10-5 lead. Leading 10-8, Quaadman hit a pair of free throws and a layup to push the Falcons ahead by six.Â

UTPB maintained that advantage until Adams State went on a 10-1 run to end the quarter and retake the lead at 23-20.

The Falcons started the second quarter on a 7-2 run, thanks to four points from
Andreea Mancha, and went back in front. Tied at 29, Adams State started a 5-0 run for the lead but UTPB answered with the next six points for a one-point lead. The Grizzlies then got hot from deep, hitting their next three threes as part of an 11-0 run for the largest lead of the game. The sides would trade buckets down the stretch but UTPB trailed 50-44 heading into the half.
A 9-2 run out of the locker rooms by the Grizzlies pushed their lead to 13. The margin hung there until an 8-0 Falcon run made it 70-65. Adams State ended the quarter with four of the last six points to hold a 74-67 edge heading into the final quarter.

In the fourth, the Falcons kept it a seven-point deficit with a three by Hemmeline at the 6:23 mark, but a 7-0 run by the Grizzlies put the game away.

The Falcons struggled with foul trouble on the night with Lemon and Mancha combining for just 32 minutes of floor time before fouling out. Quaadman ended the game with four while Helgesen had three. The teams combined for 50 fouls and 57 free throws.
